Free vs PRO

What you can browse, what you can copy, and what each plan includes.

Browsing is free

The whole catalog is public. Every preview runs live, every control bar works, every animation plays. You never need an account to look.

Reading source

Source code is behind an account:

Each catalog keeps a set of free items — full components, not teasers — so you can judge the code quality before paying. They are marked FREE on the card.

Plans

See pricing for current numbers. Both plans give the same access — the whole catalog, unmetered, over the website and the MCP alike:

AnnualUnmeteredWhile the plan is active
LifetimeUnmeteredForever

There is no per-catalog allowance to keep track of, and nothing resets: a PRO account pulls what it needs, when it needs it.

A metered Monthly plan used to sit below these. It is no longer sold. If you hold one, it keeps working exactly as before — capped per catalog per calendar month — and the copy button and the MCP output still tell you how many pulls are left and when the count resets.

Keys

The MCP server authenticates with a key from your dashboard. Keys start with vsx_.

  • One key can be used on several machines.
  • Revoke a leaked key from the dashboard; it stops working within about a minute.
  • A revoked or non-PRO key answers 401 on every request.
Treat the key as a secret Anything holding it can spend your quota. Keep it out of committed config files — use your editor's secret input, or an environment variable.

Plan changes

After upgrading, downgrading or revoking, changes take up to a minute to reach the MCP server. Wait before assuming something is broken.

What you own

Whatever you copy is yours to use in commercial work, in as many projects as you like, including work you deliver to clients. You cannot resell the catalog itself — the code, repackaged as a component library or template pack. See the terms.
